Kuk Sool Won of Washington, DC

For the tournament Jo Kyo Nim Imani won 1st place in Sword Form, 1st place in Staff Form, 1st Place in Techniques, 1st place in Sparring, and 2nd place in Gum Mu Hyung.  She was awarded the WKSA Great Lakes 1st Dahn 12 and Under Grand Champion!!!

Jo Kyo Nim Darren (who turned 41 that day) won 1st place in Gum Mu Hyung, 1st place in Sword Form, 1st place in Staff Form, 1st place in Techniques, 1st place in Sparring, and 1st place in Breaking (he had to break 6 boards, High/Middle/Low with the Right and Left Spinning Heel Kick and he broke all 6).
He was awarded the WKSA Great Lakes 1st Dahn Senior Grand Champion!!!

We are proud of you both!  You represented Kuk Sool Won™ of the Greater Washington, DC Metropolitan Area well.  Congratulations!!!!

We had several students to compete in the local Female only tournament.

• JKN Imani Fulmore won 1st Place in Forms, Techniques and Weapons and Second Place in Sparring.
  
• Nina Crenshaw won 1st Place in Techniques and 3rd Place in Sparring.
  
• Taylor Smith won 3rd Place in Techniques.
  
• Catherine Clark won 2nd Place in Techniques and 3rd Place in Sparring.

We also had a few students to travel to St. Louis to compete in the WKSA Mid-West Tournament.

• JKN Richard Thornton won 4th Place in Sword and Sparring.
  
• JKN Preston Thornton won 1st Place in Staff and Sparring, 3rd Place in Forms and 4th Place in Sword.
  
• DBN Alice Rusnak won 3rd Place in Sparring.
